About
The Blue Dingo blog is a promotional device for the Blue Dingo network.
Using Blue Dingo to Contribute, Promote, Learn and Succeed
I don’t think it is an overstatement to say there are literally hundreds of literacy/book industry related bloggers, websites, organisations, groups, services and businesses in Australia and New Zealand. However it can be hard to find the right ones for you, or the information you are looking for. With so many websites in the tangled world wide web, wonderful resources can be hard to find, and for businesses it can be hard to reach your market.
That is where Blue Dingo steps up. Firstly Blue Dingo is Australian and New Zealand only, therefore you will not have to sift through unusable foreign businesses and services.
Our goal here at Blue Dingo is to bring all the information together, the businesses, the resources and the groups. Blue Dingo allows for self promotions and ongoing advertising for the duration of your membership and you know you are getting noticed by the people who matter, writers, illustrators etc. The more you are involved in Blue Dingo the more you can gain. By sharing resources, blogging, posting updates, events and business news or simply networking you are promoting yourself, but even more then that, (and here is the best bit) blogs, news, events and content (not status comments or personal updates, only material for promotion) will be added to the newsletter and shared among the entire Blue Dingo and where relevant Bug in a Book worlds. So essentially you can get several hundreds of dollars worth of advertising for your business for only your membership fee. Writers and Illustrators are also invited to share their blogs and updates, you don’t need to have a business, you can self promote (worthwhile when you consider the Bug in a Book eMagazine and website your promotions can be placed on). Blogs and notes relevant to the book industry only will remain in the Blue Dingo network, others that are of interest to the general public, teachers and parents will be promoted on the Bug in a Book website, the general public face of our organisation.
Are you a group facilitator? Or would you like to create one?
Writers groups with locality boundaries or groups for specific genres for example can start a Blue Dingo group. Stay in touch with each other, network within your group, invite others, share, critique and organise events. To become a group facilitator contact me for your promotion. For more info. also see the discussion about critique groups in the forum, writers section.
Help us help you:
Blue Dingo requires information to share amongst our members to create a valuable folio of resources, if you know of websites, services and organisations which are not included on Blue Dingo please let us know. Please also invite others, tell them all about us and what we are doing for the book industry community of Australia and New Zealand. The more people involved the greater the Blue Dingo resource will be.
Please enjoy using the Blue Dingo network, contribute, promote, learn and succeed with us.
Happy journey.
